google's CEO "Larry Page" introduce a term "PageRank", if you doing SEO then you heard this thing, and you should know it that what is google pagerank , every Blogger After Some time will came across this thing Called PageRank. so in this article i will let you know what is Google Pagerank and how you can check your blog's pagerank.

What is Google PageRank ?

PageRank is an algorithm used by google search engine to rank website or blogs in their search engine results, pagerank was named after Larry Page one of the founders og Google. Pagerank is a way of calculating the importance of web page of website or blog according to google.

PageRank works by counting the number and quality of links to a page to determine a rough estimate of how important the website is. The underlying assumption is that more important websites are likely to receive more links from other websites.

It is not the only algorithm used by Google to order search engine results, but it is the first algorithm that was used by the company, and it is the best-known.

Google Pagerank is Denoted as "PR" and it has 0-10 value, for example PR1,PR2,PR5 etc..
the more higher value the more authority domain, for example google.com has PR9 so it is very big authority.

for new blog/website pageRank is N/A(null) after being popular PR increase to 0 then 1 and so on.

How to check Google pageRank?

it is simple just goto: http://checkpagerank.net/ and then enter your domain name and enter Captcha text and just click on submit then after some process you will find results of your domain like i check for my this blog:

you can see first on Google Pagerank showing "0"  and domain validity is "Pagerank is Valid", but if you just bought domain or if your blog is not contain good content you will find PageRank is invalid.

Q. is Google PageRank is Dead?

A. people are taking about that Pagerank is dead in this year of 2015, yes it is not true and not false, actually google algorithm is no updated yet but Pagerank factor is not completely dead, i can say it is 10% is still working. 

Google PageRank is now not that important for being at top in search results, even website/blogs of Null PR are ranking better than High PR sites. but as i said its not completely dead yet.
